Ya’ know, just kinda hittin’ more on feelings
And, we found that a lot of people approached us and-and they experienced those same feelings
They identify with it, and it’s almost to the point where they, ya’ know, are certain that that song was written for them, or about them
And sometimes, ya’ know, their situation is completely in another-another ball park from the, ya’ know, the situation that was in mine or-or Jerry’s mind when we wrote these lyrics, but
That’s kind of our idea
Is to keep ‘em loose enough to allow others to apply it to-to their story, to their lives, ya know?
We’ve taken some painful feelings and uh, and pulled ‘em out of people, and made- and made it sound beautiful
