You said my poetry’s bad
Well ima get into my bag
And show you what I have

Got dealt this hand
Some don’t understand
That in the schemes of Satan’s plans
God can
Reveal his glory
Further his cause and story
Turn a scared boy into a brave man
The masses chase what’s comforting
But don’t realize
That permissible can be enc*mbering
To the soul
Can add up the woes
And moreso than clarity
Leaves you feeling confused and wondering
It’s a display of a futile reluctant
f**king himself over
And her as well
Funny how you can both be full of sh*t
And also be full of yourself
A discrete notion that is hard to tell
Apart from ambitions, intentions
And motives that are pure
They say resentment is poison
And that folly is what you should be avoiding
So why is holiness such a hard concept
To grasp as the cure

I’m not like you
I could show it
Through a rap or a haiku
You know that I’m not exactly the type to
Make a scene
So I’ll write you
A beautiful poetry

I’m not trying to get involved
In trying to solve
Man-made problems
Without the aid of God
Spare me the commentary
Don’t spare me of the rod
I did my part
It’s on you if we don’t get along
See, I’m not the type to be irrational
No one said you couldn’t stack on karma
Instead of trying to stack on the capital
Demise of their own fault
And they wonder why I’m laughing though
It’s a repetition
Of unnecessary competition
And redundant additions
Of something stinky
I know the promises
Of Yahweh
The benefits of coffee
And know the hesitance
Of wanting to offer up a pinky
So, is it that of Van Gogh
Or that of Van Exel
No need for the experimental
When this oriental
Writes a poem
It took longer than a day
To build the empire of Rome

So you like it? You better like it. Cause I spent a lot of time writing this so you better like it. Aiight… that’s about it. You like it right??? Okay… Just making sure
